1.) Q: How do I register online for this program?
A: To register for this program, you must first enter in the control number which can be found on the bottom right-hand corner of your traffic citation, or the number can be found in the subject line on the letter sent to you from the County Attorney. Once you type the control number and click the start button, all of your information will appear and you will be required to create a user name and password for the website, along with you must enter in your email address, along with answering the pre-qualification questions at the bottom of the user registration page.
2.) Q: How come when I enter in my control number nothing shows up and takes me back to the main front page of drivesafekentucky.com?
A: Make sure you are entering the correct control number before clicking the start button and that all letters are capitalized when doing so.
3.) Q: How when I enter in my registration code it says my code has expired?
A: This generally happens when you already have entered in your control number and have already created a user name and password for drivesafekentucky.com. If you haven’t created a user name and password log-in information on the site, and it is still showing up that your registration code has expired, please call the Drive Safe Kentucky Customer Service Center.
4.) Q: How do I log back into the site to take the traffic safety quiz?
A: To log back into drivesafekentucky.com, click on “click here for existing users” tab, which is located toward the bottom of the web page above the blue start button.
5.) Q: Why is it showing me as a status of unapproved?
A: The unapproved status means that the County Attorney’s Office has not yet approved or denied you to take the traffic safety course at this time. In order for an offender to take this program, they must first be approved by the County Attorney’s Office in the same county where you received your traffic citation. In order to be eligible for the program, make sure that any charges you received for not having proper documentation (for example: no insurance, no registration, expired plates), that you have provided these beforehand. For any other questions about your unapproved status please call the customer service center or the county attorneys’ office.
6.) Q: How can I pay to take this program?
A: All payments made to take this program are done so by paying with your debit or credit card online directly through the drivesafekentucky.com website. Any issues in making an online payment, or to make other payment arrangements, please call the customer service center.
7.) Q: What type of test do you take with Drive Safe Kentucky’s traffic safety quiz?
A: Drive Safe Kentucky’s traffic safety quiz consists of 96 portions, involving multiple choice and true/false questions, text slides, and videos; which focuses on a range of topics that include: safe driving, distracted driving, driving under the influence, and seatbelt usage.
8.) Q: What happens after I finish the traffic safety course?
A: Once you have completed the traffic safety course, the County Attorney’s Office will be notified immediately, there is nothing else you will need to do. After which the course is completed the County Attorney will draw up the necessary paper work to dismiss the case.
